Deel Alternatives for Hiring Contractors in Latin America (2026)

Alternatives to Deel for hiring contractors in Latin America: EOR and payroll platforms vs staffing agencies that find, vet, contract and pay the talent.

Short answer: the right Deel alternative depends on whether you already found the contractor. If you have, the closest alternatives are EOR and contractor platforms: Remote, Oyster, Multiplier, Ontop, Rippling and Papaya Global. If you still need to find the person, a staffing company that sources, vets, contracts and pays the talent fits better: Interfell (best for vetted LATAM talent with one monthly invoice, unlimited replacements while the service runs and active talent in 18 countries; it also runs payroll for contractors you already have), Revelo, TECLA, South and Howdy.

Last updated: October 2026. Methodology: we compared Deel and eleven alternatives on what they actually do (pay, employ, or find and pay), country coverage, Latin America focus and published pricing. All facts come from each company's own website, checked on 3 October 2026. Prices change; confirm before signing. We did not test anyone's service.

Disclosure: Interfell publishes this guide; we include ourselves and explain where others fit better.

What Deel is (and what it isn't)

Deel, founded in 2019, is a global HR platform for contractor management, Contractor of Record, employer of record (EOR), US PEO and payroll, covering 150+ countries. Published pricing on its site:

  • Contractors: $49 per contractor per month.
  • Contractor of Record (Deel takes on misclassification liability): $325 per contractor per month.
  • EOR: $599 per employee per month.
  • Find talent add-on: $14 per worker per month, with access to a vetted talent marketplace and recruiter partners.

Deel's core job is making it compliant and simple to contract and pay someone you already chose. It has added a talent marketplace, but sourcing, vetting and replacing people is not its main business. That is the main reason companies hiring in Latin America compare it with two different groups of alternatives.

Two kinds of Deel alternatives

  • (a) EOR and contractor payroll platforms. Same job as Deel: you find the contractor, the platform handles contracts, payments and compliance. Choose on price, coverage and support.
  • (b) Staffing companies that find, vet and contract the talent. They source and screen the developer or specialist, sign the contract with them in their country, pay them and handle local compliance. You receive one invoice. Choose on vetting depth, speed and replacement terms.

Quick rule: if your bottleneck is paperwork, choose (a). If your bottleneck is finding good people, choose (b).

What it is: an EOR, contractor and global payroll platform founded in January 2020, covering 160+ countries.

Best for: buyers comparing EOR price per employee.

Pricing as published: contractors $40 per month (billed annually); Contractor of Record $400; EOR Core from $459 per month on annual contracts or $499 monthly.

Watch-outs: talent comes through partner staffing agencies, not Multiplier itself.

4. Ontop

What it is: a contractor-first platform with Contractor of Record and a "Global Account" wallet and card for workers, positioning itself against EOR costs. Backed by Y Combinator and Endeavor.

Best for: teams that pay mostly contractors and want workers to have a flexible account for receiving funds.

Pricing as published: from $49 per month, subject to conditions and number of workers.

Watch-outs: no EOR plan published; no talent sourcing.

Best for: companies already running HR and IT on Rippling that want global workers in the same system.

Pricing as published: platform from $8 per user per month; global and EOR by custom quote.

Watch-outs: its recruiting product is ATS software to run your own hiring, not a source of candidates.

6. Papaya Global

What it is: a global payroll and EOR platform covering 160+ countries.

Best for: lowest published per-contractor platform fee.

Pricing as published: contractor management from $2 per contractor per month; EOR from $650 per employee per month, plus a refundable deposit and onboarding fee.

(b) Staffing companies that find, vet and pay the talent

7. Interfell

What it is: a remote staffing and IT recruiting company founded in 2016 in Mérida, Venezuela, headquartered in Miami and part of Simera since September 2025. 2,300+ successful hires and 250+ client companies since 2016.

How it differs from Deel: Interfell is not an EOR. Under remote staffing, Interfell finds and vets the professional, signs the contract with them, pays them and handles local compliance; the client gets one monthly invoice. Professionals work full time on your team under a service agreement with Interfell.

Best for: US companies that need to find vetted LATAM talent and also want the contracting and payments solved, in one vendor.

Pros: first shortlist in 72 hours; start in about 5 days; vetting with technical tests, validated English and psychometrics; unlimited replacements at no extra cost while the service runs; active talent in 18 countries (14 in LATAM) and contracts and payments in any country; free AI talent search at talent.interfell.com; rated 4.8/5 on Clutch (10 reviews).

Already have your contractors? Interfell's payroll for remote teams in LATAM issues the contracts, collects each contractor's invoice, validates amounts, pays everyone in their own country and sends you one consolidated invoice with receipts on file. No minimum term and no exit penalties; country coverage is confirmed one by one before you sign.

Watch-outs: if you need formal employment under a country's labor law, use an EOR from group (a).

Pricing: staffing is 80% contractor pay and 20% Interfell fee in one invoice. Payroll is a monthly rate per person managed, quote-based.

8. Revelo

What it is: a LATAM engineering platform (founded 2015, HQ Miami) with 400K+ vetted engineers; handles payroll, benefits, taxes and compliance in 18 countries.

Best for: software engineers with a 14-day risk-free trial.

Pricing: all-in monthly rate, quote-based; pay only if you hire. See Interfell vs Revelo.

9. TECLA

What it is: a Dallas-based staffing and recruiting firm (since 2013) covering 18+ LATAM countries; acts as employer for staffed hires.

Best for: budgeting from published hourly averages ($28 junior, $48 mid, $58 senior).

Watch-outs: guarantee terms vary by engagement per its pricing page. See Interfell vs TECLA.

10. South

What it is: a LATAM staffing company with 120,000+ pre-vetted professionals and separate EOR and headhunting options.

Best for: one flat monthly rate, no deposits or minimums, 120-day guarantee.

11. Howdy

What it is: a staffing company that recruits, employs and retains engineers in eight countries, with offices and coaching.

Best for: long-term engineering teams; transparent 85/15 split. See Interfell vs Howdy.

Deel vs a staffing company: total cost

A contractor platform fee looks cheap next to a staffing fee, but it covers less. With Deel or Remote you still pay for sourcing (your recruiter's time or an agency fee), vetting, onboarding and any replacement if the hire fails. With staffing, those are inside the fee. Compare like for like: platform fee plus recruiting cost plus your team's hours, versus one staffing invoice. Our cost to hire in Latin America page and the 2026 salary guide give the salary side.

How to choose

  1. Do you already have the person? Yes: group (a), or Interfell payroll. No: group (b).
  2. Contractor or employee? Contractor platforms and staffing work with contractors. If you need formal local employment, choose an EOR.
  3. How many countries? One vendor that pays everywhere you have people saves the most admin.
  4. What happens when someone leaves? Platforms don't replace people. Staffing companies do; compare terms.
